About Me

In April, 2014 I experienced a traumatic brain injury (TBI) when I skied off of a mountain ledge landing directly on my head in concrete-like, hardpacked snow. Since then I have experienced a myriad of confusing and seemingly unrelated symptoms across several systems of the body. Despite diligently seeking out answers from countless experts,  I still don't fully understand what's wrong with me and haven't found the "cure" to fix me.

After a surgery in early 2023 my symptoms worsened significantly and I stopped tolerating pharmaceuticals, herbs and supplements, which has reduced my available treatment options. After spending most of 2023 feeling like I was drowning in a dark abyss, I began to find hope in unusual places. I started to wonder if maybe the answers I've been searching for don't reside outside of myself. Perhaps the only hope for true everlasting healing lies deep within me.

I embarked on a journey of self-healing in 2024 hoping to experience a transformation in my condition. My TBI causes dysfunction in my autonomic nervous system, which means the part of my brain that controls heart rate, breathing, sweating and urination doesn't always work properly. I also experience daily migraines, dizziness, nausea, digestive issues, nerve pain and joint pain. You can read more about my condition in the introductory blog post below.

My Dream

To share about my journey to connect with others and form a healing community

As a result of disillusioning experiences with medicine, I have embarked on a journey of self-healing. After a prolonged period of feeling isolated and afraid, I've chosen to share about my experiences with various treatment modalities, books and techniques. My hope is to connect with others who are on similar journeys or experiencing hardship. Perhaps together we can form a community to love and support each other.

I am not someone who is on the other side after experiencing a miraculous healing transformation. Each day I am doing my best to courageously live this journey. I believe we are all navigating different challenges in this life and need to know we are not alone. May we all find peace in our heart and freedom from our mind.
